First and foremost, BoardFormula.com is going to find you the customers that are best fit
for your surfboards. This will improve customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. You don't
want to sell your board to a surfer who is not fit for it, because they won't be happy and they
will tell other people that they don't like your brand. Currently, there is a very low satisfaction
rate among surfboard consumers and it is primarily because someone misinformed them about what
board to ride. BoardFormula analyzes rediculous amounts of surfer feedback to make sure that you are getting
the right customer for your surfboard. Furthermore, we analyze the satisfaction rate of your surfers
across all the surf shops that sell your boards. If a surf shop is putting your board in the wrong hands,
we'll tell you, because a bad sale is going to cost you far more future sales.
Secondly, BoardFormula.com is going to help you build better boards. We can give you as much information
as you can handle. For example: Did you know that the most satisfied
surfers who ride the 5'8" Channel Islands Biscuit have arm breadths greater than 5'6". Below 5'6", satisfaction
drops off dramatically. Why? It's probably because they can't get their arms around the board to paddle
well. Interestingly enough, this group bought the board becuase they thought that a wider board would make it
easier to paddle. It turns out that there is a critical point where going wider actually makes it harder to
paddle. Now that you know the critical width, you can adjust your boards accordingly. This is just one of
countless insights that you will get from our database.
BoardFormula is going to make sure that your customers are fit with the right surfboard. You will get customer loyalty because surfers will feel confident that they will be happy with the board you set them up with. We will also give you profile stats on your customers so that you can know how to stock your inventory. BoardFormula will tell you exactly which boards your customers are most satisfied with. You won't have to wait for a board to sit on the rack for 6 months, to find out that your customers don't want that board.
Why doesn't BoardFomula catagorize boards as thruster, fish, gun, hybrid, etc?We don't want surfers to buy boards simply because of a name. Surfers should buy a board because it does what they want it to do. For example, a lot of surfers are told to get a fish for small wave surfing, but I've seen guys, fitted with the right fish, getting shacked in pumping double overhead tubes. So, BoardFormula does not care what you call the board, we only care about who it is best for and under what conditions. If a customer asks us to recommend a board for 12ft barrels, depending on the chararacteristics of that surfer we might recommend a gun, hybrid, fish or shortboard. And the recommendation is based strictly, off what other real surfers, who are like that customer, are riding and enjoying.
